Dar es Salaam! What a city! To be honest, I’ve never visit Dar es Salaam in my lifetime. It’s just about 36’000 feet below me, appearing only as some letters on the display in front of me. We have to fly for four more hours until Cape Town is reached. About 11 hours of flight time we’ve left behind us and about 26 hours are gone now sice we woke up. Bridget is watching a movie about a man who got stuck in a slot canyon with his arm. 127 Hours is the name of the movie and that’s also programm. After 127 hours he got free by cutting off his arm using a multi tool. And exactly thst’s the scene which Bridget is watching now. I had that pleasure some minutes ago and it almost rolled back my finger nails. Now it’s amusing to watch Bridgets face if she goes through that scene. No worries, the arm goes off soon… That movie relates on a true storiy. The guy just did on tiny little mistake. He didn’t told to anyone where he goes, alone. So that movie talks a clear language to me. I’ll don’t even think about going out into the australian bush without telling someone where I go. Carry plenty of water, dont risk anything and you’ve got a free and working life assurance for the australian bush. So please, no worries about me. The one who knows the rules of the bush and also respect them has not to worrie about.
Indeed that flying arond the world thing could come to an end for me now. My backside is without any feeling, my legs too and I don’t know which position I could try to get a bit more of convenience as I tried them all! I even walked around a bit. Slowly I am running out of options. To my luck there will be “feeding time” soon and after that we should arrive in Cape Town. If we have luck, we’re able to see the Table Mountain during the landing. Cape Town get us back! The “San Francisco” of South Africa. Meeting people you know, discover Namibias fantastic landscapes, Game Drives in the Kgalgadi Transfrontier Park… That all is worth to have some hours of inconvenience. It’s funny; When you visit a country the second time or even more in your life, it’s more and more like coming home. The couriosity of the beginning starts to become something you know well. It’s a great feeling! South Africa; we’re coming home
